A little information on why this sites exists for those with similar plans.

Our class graduated 609 students back in of 1977. In the twenty plus years since then, despite our best efforts we have lost contact with 275. An additional eleven that we know of have passed away. Roughly two thirds of those that we have addresses on have stayed in the DeLand area, (327xx zip code) and the rest have scattered into 28 states and three countries.

This site was originally setup to provide classmates news and information regarding our 1997 20th class reunion. Afterwards we had many requests to keep the site online since it was a great way to touch base with everyone between reunions. Since then, there have been ten or so of our classmates that were listed as missing that discovered this site through one of the various Internet search engines. Usually they were looking for information on DeLand or simply searching on their own name and were surprised to see our site pop up. So for those gypsies that have moved away from the area and for those that are still missing, we decided to keep it running.

One other group of users that use our site is those from other classes that graduated before and after us. They will use our lists to help track down their own missing classmates through brothers and sister that may have been in our class. Sometimes we benefit by one of them telling us about the location of one of our own.

Additionally we get visitors from other schools that graduated in 1977 and run their own sites since we share an interest in a common point of time.
